Hey Guys. :)
I was born Nicole. My family calls me Nikki. My church family calls me Nika (means belonging to God; My youth pastor chose this for me when I told her I wanted to have a new name after I got baptized.) I prefer Nika but I’ll respond to Nicole/Nikki. :)
I’ve lived in Orlando, Florida since I was a baby and still do. I currently am a freshman at the University of Central Florida and am majoring in Social Work. I just got a job on campus at Subway working a few hours a week, and am currently dependent on my parents.
I’m in a Christian sorority called Sigma Phi Lambda so my free time on campus goes into that. With a lot of my free time I honestly just go to church; my church has a ministry school M-F 9-5 so I just go whenever I’m bored/have a free day/have the gas money. And being on such a large campus we have many different Christian organizations so there’s pretty much something to do every night there.
I like peeling the plastic layer off of new electronics, listening to the prayer room online (ihop.org if you’re curious), playing words with friends, reading my bible, and talking about Jesus (not in that order). I strongly dislike talking on the phone, but God has been making me get over that with AIM and work, and detest mushrooms and seafood.
I haven’t gone on any mission trips before … (I got saved a year ago.)
I’m excited about getting to see God move, getting rid of all the distractions, and learning how to listen to the Holy Spirit. I’m nervous about missing everything that God’s going to do here in Orlando. My flesh is nervous about giving up all the distractions, but my spirit is excited...haha. I feel like God’s been telling me it’s going to be hard, but worth it. I know I’m going to learn a lot about Him.
